OKC: Florence’s is an institution …

(OKLAHOMA CITY) – Florence’s Restaurant, established in April 1952, is an institution in Northeast Oklahoma City. It is known across the country for it’s country cooking, exceptional service including online ordering, amazing cornbread, catfish breakfast, fried chicken dipped in yam juice, oxtails, soul food, and much more.

When the doors opened at its original location, 916 Northeast 4th Street, Owner Florence Jones’ idea was to serve some of her favorite homemade family recipes she learned growing up on the farm in Boley, Oklahoma.

The business grew.  And in 1969, the restaurant relocated to its current location, 1437 Northeast 23rd.

Since then, Florence has added a few new items, some international favorites, and created a signature dish but she’s mainly stayed true to the original plan: Good, country food for the soul.

So, if you’re in OKC, do stop by and support this than 60-year-old business!
